Review of Shoot 'Em Up (2007) by Wesley W — 25 Dec 2013

One of the best action movies of all time and a personal favorite of mine. They really came up with creative shootouts here and this film is like a tall nonstop rollercoaster ride of epic awesomeness. The movie is really over the top and preposterous, but that only adds to joy and fun to the film.

It is really sad that this movie flopped at the box office and I think this movie is underappreciated and should be having more praise. You can absolutely tell that the director Michael Davis is in love with action movies and here he crafts the perfect action film to watch.

Besides the action, the movie was also funny and it is written well. The best acting comes from Clive Owen and Paul Giamatti. Clive Owen was really fun to watch on screen and he nails all of his one liners fantastically.

Paul Giamatti played a great villain and you can tell he has a lot of fun being in the movie. In my opinion, it is literally impossible not to at least like it if your an action film fan like I am. It really was worth my time to see this and I will be watching this more and more times in the future.
