Review of Shoot 'Em Up (2007) by Kestutis K — 15 Dec 2010
This movie pretty much distills modern action movie elements to their smallest units. Everything revolves around guns. Everything is solved with guns. Character motivation and backstory? Unimportant, because they're not guns.
Thinking about that or the plot will only cause headaches. All that really matters is there is one British man standing between a helpless baby and an army of goons trying to kill it. Shallow and rather dumb, with lots of goofy one-liners, the over-the-top committment to the ridiculous story and the well done action sequences make it fun, if a little forgettable.
