Review of Shogun Assassin (1980) by Jon D — 30 Sep 2008
While falling short on everything that matters in modern film-making, somehow the kill count and the flair of its execution seemed to make up for it. It's one of those legendary and infamous movies.
Although, I don't like movies that are too violent, I find that the sword is a much more elegant and honourable way to dispose of the bad guys.
Now I see where Quentin Tarantino borrowed the fountain of blood effect in Kill Bill.
