Review of Shogun Assassin (1980) by Kari K — 20 Oct 2010
The most over-the-top chambara flick ever made, but that doesn't mean it's the best thing ever like some folks think. Gory as hell, but editing two of the Lone Wolf & Club films together into one means the story makes little sense and it really just is alot of kill scenes strung together.
It's fun for what it is, but don't look at it like a pinnacle of the genre.
