Review of Shocker (1989) by John W — 06 Oct 2012
I'm probably one of the very few who thought this was a good movie. No, it's not Wes Craven's best horror flick, but it's something different that you don't see everyday. Well, most of Wes Craven's films are something you don't see everyday.
I'm a fan of Peter Berg's who plays Jonathan Parker in this film. Parker dreams that his family was murdered and in fact they really were. Serial killer Horace Pinker (later in the film) is found guilty and suffers death by the electric chair. He makes a deal with the devil himself to give him powers, thus being able to go from person to person in spirit and continue to kill.
In the end it's up to Parker to stop him once and for all.
