Review of Shock Corridor (1963) by Dylan B — 16 Oct 2007
Waaaay over the top and unrealistic in its depiction of asylum life...but who cares? This movie is an enjoyable, pulpy satire of American conservatism, using a very rickety plot about a reporter in an asylum to critique mid-20th cent.
American norms of race, socialism, and women. Good times.
