Review of Shinjuku Incident (2009) by Jason J — 17 Dec 2009
This movie proves than when he feels like it, Jackie Chan can do a really good serious drama. JC plays a farmer who comes to Tokyo to find his missing girlfriend but becomes embroiled with the Yakuza and from then things start escalating until the final tragic outcome.
It's very refreshing to see JC act in a good drama and I hope he does some more. Daniel Wu and the gorgeous Fan Bing Bing also contribute to this engrossing movie. But this is JC's movie through and through and comes with the message that power corrupts people.
Worth watching.
