Review of Shinjuku Incident (2009) by Derrick D — 05 May 2011
There are movies where Jackie Chan kicks butt from beginning to end and anybody who tries to step to him is a fool. And then there are those Jackie Chan movies where he flexes his dramatic muscles and sheds the goofy martial arts act.
This is one of those movies. In fact, I would have to say it is one of Jackie's most dramatic movies he's ever done. The casual viewer probably isn't going to like this movie, but the storyline kept me hooked and the prescence of Naoto Takenaka was simply awesome.
Great actor. If you like Yakuza movies, definitely rent this!
