Review of Shine a Light (2008) by Eileen R — 30 Apr 2008
One of the high points of this documentary was getting a candid glimpse of Martin Scorsese. And, of course, it is always a pleasure to see Mick shake his skinny little *** up and down the stage.
Seriously, though, there is a deep significance to these four musicians maintaining their relationship over these decades. A rare phenomena. They are to be commended; it speaks well of them.
When I see Keith Richards, what comes to mind is a rare insect specimen as if we are examining him under a microscope. Keith is asked in an interview who is the better guitar player, himself or Ron Wood? Keith eloquently states neither he or Ron are very good alone, but together they are awesome.
How sweet.
