Martin Scorsese does a live concert film of The Rolling Stones, performing live over 2 nights at the Beacon Theatre in New York in 2006. The film brings out the very best in them, as they perform old classics and some songs never before done on stage.
..(read more) before. Plus, they're not alone, they have some special guests in the form of Jack White, Buddy Guy and Christina Aguilera. Scorsese even punctuates the songs with some old archive interviews, which adds to the entertainment.
Shine a Light is very well shot, and The Rolling Stones still have the momentum which has kept them going for about 45 years now, long may it continue.
