Review of Shine a Light (2008) by Pedro C — 05 Mar 2009
Seeing this in IMAX made you feel as though you were onstage with the Mic and Keith. I'm sure on DVD it will seem like you are in the front row. It's very similar to Scorsese's previous concert films, "Woodstock", in which he edited and "The Last Waltz", which he directed.
The changes in cameras and camera angles go along with the measures of the music being played. Sometimes it's 1 measure, sometimes 4, sometimes 8....mostly a mix of many. If you like the Rolling Stones, I am sure you will like this film.
