An extremely strong cast, with some very memorable performances... noah taylor and geoffrey rush gives performances of a lifetime, depicting the life of david helfgoff, who is a master pianist living with a debilitating intellectual disorder.
. the movie is brilliant in building the story around davids background and his relationship with his father, before venturing to london to study music, where his illness catches up with him... it is a beautiful story, and lynn redgrave has a presence on screen that is only matched by the likes of meryl streep and jessica lange.
