Review of Shine (1996) by Roy P — 29 Oct 2007
Our third film to watch in my high school film class (and best thus far) is a pretty good Australian biopic of pianist David Helfgott. While it is very inaccurate to real life events, the cinematography and performances are top notch.
It does unfortunately have all them modern biopic cliches that really get to me, as well as some screwy editing techniques at moments. Still, it's worthy for a viewing.
