Shin Godzilla felt more like an "educational video" on the Japanese government's step-by-step action against an unknown occurrence; with an in-depth look on the statistics of Godzilla itself, rather than an enjoyable destruction-filled movie.
Effects are hit-and-miss, and conversations can get overly-long and draggy. Overall, a disappointingly average movie.
