A standard rom-com with z list actors including Shoestring and the woman from the Nescafe ads for christ's sake! The story of the mismatched pair who find love despite societies rules is as old as time.
In fact beauty and the beast is a recurring theme. The only thing is, she is not as hot as she's supposed to be and he's not as geeky so hey they are actually quite well matched really. Quelle surprise! A substandard bad family/ex-girlfriend background can't resecue this from its own mediocrity.
