Honestly, I don't understand where the extremely negative criticism is coming from. Yes, this movie isn't the greatest movie of all time, but regardless of this fact, it has a lovable odd couple that you can't help but root for the whole while.
I feel that Alice and Jay have great on-screen compatibility, and despite the crude humor of this movie: I laughed out loud...A LOT...I felt the 'bros' were hilarious and Kirk's dysfunctional family not to mention ex-girlfriend from hell were great embellishments to a pretty funny movie.
I really really liked this movie, and I felt like it was a little boost for all the underdogs out there.
