Spike's debut is an amusing tale revolving around a very strong female protagonist. Artfully shot in black and white with a very student film vibe to it. But that just adds to its charm, it doesn't hinder it.
Clearly, Spike was up to something and his mark would most definitely be felt upon American independent filmmaking.
