Review of Sherrybaby (2006) by Codie E — 10 Jan 2008
A very strong central performance by Gyllenhaal, who much to her credit stops the film from feeling like a downtrodden woman awards picture. Instead it places itself in the realms of Down To The Bone, and feels true and genuine.
Without Gyllenhaal though the film would fall down but with her and some of the supporting turns (Danny Trejo) it was a great performance and good film.
