Sad, poignant and human, this is a portrait of a messed-up young woman trying to get her life together by overcoming her greatest obstacle: herself. An amazing performance by Maggie Gyllenhaal is the focal point of a film that contains a whole lot of truth without ever clamouring for audience approval.
