Review of Sherrybaby (2006) by Kevin P — 29 Oct 2007

[font=Tahoma]I watched [i]Secretary[/i] a couple years ago and I thought Maggie Gyllenhaal was pretty good. Honestly, I dont really remember her performance. I guess I was too focused on her nakedness.

Anyways, I just watched [i]Sherrybaby[/i], and my god Maggie was perfect. She was 100% believable in that role, and her performance catapulted her to the top of my favorite female actor list. I watch a lot of movies, and lately I've been going through a streak of bad ones.

I was beginning to think, "are there any good movies/actors out there?" Then bam, Maggie Gyllenhaal splashes across my screen and totally captures me for a couple hours. I thought [i]Sherrybaby[/i] itself was a decent enough movie, but Gyllenhaal's work cannot be missed.
