Review of Sherlock Jr. (1924) by A.j. S — 04 Feb 2009
Innovative, enticing, and hilarious throughout. Buster Keaton was way before his time in this adventure/romance/comedy. The beginning title card sets the story and his supposed critics straight, because not only does he play his two acknowledged roles (and do both of them extremely well) in this filmmaking process, he also plays magician with his techniques.
A must see for any film lover of classic, contemporary, or both.
