Review of Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows (2011) by Zach S — 28 May 2013
Amazing movie! A lot better than the first. Robert Downey Jr. plays the legendary detective Sherlock Holmes with the same amount of ease and personality as he does in the Iron Man movies. And Jude Law plays excellently the role of his somewhat unwilling at times accomplice, Watson.
The storyline is amazing in that the detectives leave the familiar address, 221 B Baker St. and travel across Europe to prevent the first World War from coming all too early. Holmes once again uses all the might of his deductive powers to conclude what no normal man would notice, to foil the plot of a man with a mind so devious, Holmes might have met his match.
All in all, one of my all time favorite movies and a must-see for fans of Holmes or Robert Downey Jr.
