Guy Ritchie's direction and style can be too overwhelming for a Sherlock Homes adaptation, but thanks to its witty dialogue and a great performance by Downey, "Holmes" overcomes it's flaws by turning its confusing plot into a fun, thrill ride.
It's best to sit this one through, because if you go to the bathroom, you'll miss a whole lot of plot details in just one minute.
