Review of The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001) by Irma A — 01 Aug 2016
The movie lost me a little bit around the first hour and half but I guess that is because the point of the first of a series of movies is to build up the plot and not tell the whole story. it was the whole plot building where it got boring.
But it came around towards the end. Frodo Baggins is a good soul and his one strong trait is his goodness. Gandalf reminds me of Dumbledore from Harry Potter. He is the fun quirky grandfather you love to hang out with.
Aragon was ok but it is hard to bond with his character. And the romance between him and Arwen the elf is sweet but now the best seen in movies. Legolas and Gimli have not shone yet. This movie is an OK start for the magical fantasy ride yet to come.
