Honestly, this is one of the most hilariously awful things I have ever watched.

Firstly, the casting. Sherlock Holmes is played by a man who is both too young and (more importantly) lacking any of the grandeur associated with Holmes' character. Also, Watson seems to be old enough to be his father.

Secondly, the costumes are ghastly. The female character (evil, of course) who appears half way through has had a tough time wardrobe-wise; She's meant to be a bit of a vamp, but has ended up in a dress with shoulder poufs as big as her head (to show her upper-class status, of course) and terrible curling-tong-ed sideburns that would look badly done at a 16 year old prom, let alone in a film.

Finally, the plot. Oh gosh, the plot. There is a CGI T-Rex in Baker Street, but amusingly the production team seem to have only paid for one sequence: It jumps onto the screen (from where?!) and then rears its head and stomps. The same sequence happens twice in the film, an exact duplicate.

SPOILER ALERT.

Sherlock Holmes has a secret brother! Not Mycroft, a different one, with the best diction of the whole cast.

Overall, hilarious film to watch with friends, but don't sit your elderly Grannie down with it and expect her to be able to follow the plot.
