Review of Sherlock Holmes (2009) by Jimmy N — 11 Aug 2012

When I first saw this movie I wasn't quite sure how I felt about the dramatic differences between this and the book. Sherlock Holmes now has superb fighting skills and the film frequently slows down and brings you inside Holmes' mind as he plots out how he'll strike his apponent.

I would have been very upset if this was a complete reimagining but a weak and uninteresting film. But it's not. It's fun. It's got action. And it blends all this with Sherlock's unique intellect to bring out a fun and exiting movie that never ceases to please.

So, set aside the books and appreciate this fun filled mystery.
