Review of Sherlock Gnomes (2018) by Bily T — 20 May 2018

Sherlock Gnomes is a bland movie, this is a sequel to the 2011 movie Gnomeo and Juliet, which in my opinion the movie wasn't terrible but it was very bland, and this movie is just as bland as the first one.

Instead of calling this movie Gnomeo and Juliet 2, they call this Sherlock Gnomes to center around the main character of the story, even though Gnomeo and Juliet are still the main characters.

I wasn't really expecting it to be anything good or groundbreaking, yet I didn't think it was going to be as bland as the first movie.

The story to this movie was bland, cliched and predictable, the characters are either unlikable or out of character from the ones who were in the previous movie, the cast is decent I will say I do quite like Johnny Deep as Sherlock Gnomes, the animation is good but I feel like the first movie had it better especially when it comes to how the Gnomes look, the music is forgettable and I wish it didn't have existing songs, and the jokes weren't funny at all I'm surprised that some of the jokes we got in the trailer to the movie weren't even in the actual movie, that comes off as a surprise.

I hope they don't make another sequel as this wasn't any good, it was so bland that I don't think they should make another movie, maybe get some people who are more for quality movie making than what we got here.

I don't recommend this movie to anybody for how bland it is, and I don't instant on watching this movie again anytime soon.

I give Sherlock Gnomes a 4 out of 10 really bland movie that I wish was never made, plus who even asked for a sequel? I don't even think the first movie got successful in the box office.
