Review of Sherlock Gnomes (2018) by Gnomeo%20 B — 11 Dec 2018

Masterpiece... the only word that can describe this movie. When I saw the first Gnomeo and Juliet I was blown away by the dynamic characters, the colorful setting and the magnificant story. As I left the theater that fine afternoon, I felt happiness but also disappointment. I felt like my whole life had been building to that experience that I had in the theater. It was over, and I knew that life would never be the same. Then, like a light shining in the darkness, it came. A more ambitious and epic sequel that promised to blow everyone away. I was like most people, how could they make a sequel that even came close to the genius of the first film. As I drove to the theater I felt a flurry of emotions. I did not want to be disappointed and the trailer looked amazing. Then, as I sat in that cold theater on a Sunday morning with my popcorn and my soda, my soul was finally at peace. The movie triggered almost every positive emotions that I had and as I laughed and cried with the movie, I realized that I would soon face the daunting task of putting all these emotions into writing. So, as I left the theater, I was instilled with a sense of confidence about the task that I had to perform. I had the duty and the opportunity to review the best film of all time.

Review:

So I'll start off by stating, this film is the most ambitious crossover of all time. The idea of combining Romeo and Juliet with the worlds greatest detective was thought to be impossible. Also the idea of making all of the characters gnomes was a work of genius that elevated this film to the next level and allowed children to experience the magnificence for themselves. Lets talk about characters. With so many characters in a movie, its hard to give proper development to each of them. However, this movie isn't like other movies, John Stevenson brilliantly weaves the stories of all the characters into a massive and complex narrative. Gnomeo provides a good foil to sherlock gnomes. Gnomeo is wild and doesn't care about the rules while Sherlock gnomes is smart and does everything by the book. As a clever character trait, Stevenson made Sherlock green and Gnomeo blue to cement the fact that they are opposites.

Conclusion.

This film blows away crossover movies like infinity war, and will change the way that you view your own life, the world and gnomes. This movie will soon become an all time classic that will be remembered for generations. As you may have guessed from my profile name, I loved this movie so much that I changed my name to Gnomeo Bluebrick.
