Review of Shelter (2007) by Peter S — 25 Jun 2008
Shelter is a step in the right direction for gay themed movies, the lead comes out and you barely even notice. The story is so fresh and welcoming, your just so glad your not watching another coming out movie.
Shelter tells a story of a young boy, stuck between his commitment for his underloved nephew and his love for art, and in the middle the love he finds in his bestfriends brother! whom he reconnects with while surfing.
Shelter is the next step forward from Brokeback Mountain in gay cinema and even appeals to the same audince. It's just such a shame it wasn't given the same coverage.
