Review of She Wore a Yellow Ribbon (1949) by Martin A — 05 Mar 2008
One of Wayne's great performances as the aging Nathan Brittles. All the Ford trademarks are here in this lush tale of the 50 cents a day heroes in dirty shirt blue; 'give me Remington colour' Ford commanded of Winton Hoch, and typically ran the cinematographer ragged.
Hoch's reward was the Oscar.
