Review of She Wore a Yellow Ribbon (1949) by Manny C — 15 Dec 2010
Another solid entry in The Duke's filmography. Again the two-generation element is played up, with Wayne again teamed with John Agar. It's very sentimental, almost in danger of schmaltz, but it is directed by the great John Ford who had a knack for transcending schmaltz (see also The Grapes of Wrath and How Green Was My Valley).
