Review of Shaun the Sheep Movie (2015) by Brandon W — 17 Dec 2015
When seeing the trailer for Shaun the Sheep Movie, I was surprised to see that it was dialogueless, although I wasn't quite sure whether it's gonna go all out on it or not like Minions did. Well, after watching the film, it definitely went all out with the film having no dialogue, which makes it one of the reasons why I love this film.
I really adored the characters, and Shaun even more when I first saw him in one of the Wallace and Gromit short films. I do like how simple the plot is because with the movie having no people talking words, it could've been way too complicated and hard to follow to watch if the plot wasn't as simple.
The humor is very funny, and even the fart jokes get me a laugh which the way it was handled was in a surprising and not immature way. The way it was shown was really smart, and the stop-motion animation is amazing that at times, I kept thinking that it was real.
I really enjoyed the villain which I was skeptical a bit about what he does, but he's really funny in it and a bit enjoyably over the top. Shaun the Sheep Movie proves that people can make enjoyable films that doesn't have no dialogue.
