Review of Shaun the Sheep Movie (2015) by Junelkean — 02 Jul 2017
Aardman Studios must continue to make films like this to inspire producers for making simple yet very compelling movies. They have done it with “Chicken Run” and “Wallace & Gromit”, and for this time, based from the successful television series, Shaun and the flock go to the Big City to find The Farmer until things do not go according to plan.
The Aardman Studios has crafted yet another stop-motion animation which appeals to the heart and laughter of its audience. But what makes this truly amazing is how an 80-minute exciting journey of animals becomes a very delightful and charming family movie, and in this case, without any words and dialogues. There are plenty of gags that are pure to the heartstrings and a lot of adorable moments for children. Moreover, “Shaun the Sheep Movie” lets the viewers be intoxicatingly attached to the characters for unexpected yet hilarious spectacle.
VERDICT: An old-fashioned yet long breath of fresh air which captivates its audience of all ages.
