Review of Sharpe's Enemy (1994) by David M — 11 Apr 2012
And here it isâ¦.the end of Hakeswill. The book itself was very awesome and the film is just as good, but it is a bittersweet ending as both Teresa, who was a brilliant character for Sharpe, and Obadiah Hakeswill, the best antagonist for Sharpe, are both killed off.
The death of Teresa is sad and upsetting, and the death of Hakeswill is also brilliantly done. With the story of a army of deserters to be battled, it offers a different perspective, and works brilliantly.
Top class film.
