Review of Sharkwater (2006) by Veruschka M — 26 Sep 2007
I heard about how sharks were getting fished just for their fins for Shark Fin soups, but I had no idea how terrible the situation was getting to be. In Japan, the shark meats are used to make imitation crabs and kamaboko and fish cakes.
I grew up eating the shark by-products, and now I'm feeling terrible. This movie should be distributed in Asia, so that people can see how ridiculous Shark Fin soups are. If people stop demanding them, eventually the supply should decrease accordingly.
