Review of Sharktopus (2010) by Jacob N — 28 Oct 2010
Extremely cheesy, low-budget schlocker about a genetically engineered half-shark/half-octopi that runs (swims?) amok after an encounter with a jet boat disables its controlling mechanism, and only obnoxious shirtless guy and pouty scientist lady can stop it.
Featuring Eric Roberts at his most Eric Robertsness as the world's most laid back mad scientist, the movie offers some low-brow giggles for the easily pleased, and the cheaply animated monster is fun.
Still, some suspense, character development and logic wouldn't have hurt. Best served with beer and pretzels.
