Review of Shark Night 3D (2011) by Brandon L — 08 Jan 2012

I enjoyed it. I bought the Blu ray & did not watch the 3D version. Still, I thought the movie was campy & fun. It does not have a good storyline, horrible in fact, & it's very predictable.

Immediately, the characters have no cell phone access, no way to get help, yet they are partying at a millionaire house. The sharks in this movie have the ability to hit speeds faster than a speeding vessels.

Silly things like the shark being able to keep up with a boat at top speed & things like that. However, it was a silly horror movie meant to be what it was. I would put it in class with the recent Piranha movie.

That being said, it was the best shark movie I've seen in a very long time, so I enjoyed it. I thought the sharks effects were fine & looked good. The movie is definitely a B-movie horror, but I enjoyed it for what it was.

I am glad I own the Blu ray.
