Review of Shark Night 3D (2011) by James W — 31 Oct 2013
Sun soaked mayhem, Shark Night delivers impressive 3D which throws guts and debris at you with depth that brings the water to life! The location looks good and it's all open water, so the constant threat of shark attacks is always apparent.
The tension is unbearable at times and it's great watching the young cast get torn apart. As for the actual sharks, some do look very fake, the CGI is inconsistent making them look like cutout cardboard pieces but because they look fake you can laugh at how cheesy they look which adds to the dark humour the film offers.
Sara Paxton is gorgeous, I've seen a lot of films lately with her in and she's really good, easy to say the cast are great and perfect as bait. Shark Night 3D is a gloriously bloody and fun adventure in the water.
