Review of Shaolin Soccer (2001) by Michael C — 24 May 2012
Having seen other martial arts movies, Shaolin Soccer is able to be fully appreciated. Mocking common martial arts movie paradigms, including ridiculous powers, Chow was able to create a film as much over-the-top as any other movie I have seen.
It is this ridiculousness that makes Shaolin Soccer the incredible comedy that it is. The mere absurdity makes the film a must see.
