Review of Shanghai Kiss (2007) by Lucio L — 16 Feb 2010
A pretty goofy independent comedy, this is a coming of age/ reconnecting with your heritage story. It is also a story about sacrifice, and love. The plot is good, if predictable, but the movie is quite funny and quite sad in the right places.
The performances are great, Lung's as the lead and Panettiere (best know as Miles from lost and Claire from Heros to me) show they have range and can carry a movie. Worth a watch.
