I could see what all the hooplah was about. This is an amazing film, and I didn't find it horribly slow and talkey. I just don't recomend it for someone reared on the action films of today. Van Heflin and Alan Ladd really stole the film for me, next to Jean Arthur and Brandon de Wilde who just came off as annoying.
