Another fine film from the under-praised Ashby, 'Shampoo' perhaps doesn't quite.
Reach the heights of 'Harold & Maude' or 'Being There' but it's still a great watch all the same.
There are many memorable moments but the scene of Beatty and Christe being caught shagging in flagrante in particular, is a little piece of fridge-light genius. And the ending is beautifully done too and you actually somehow feel sorry for Beatty's character. A minor 70's classic.
