Review of Shame (2011) by Tanvir M — 18 Nov 2012
Fassbender's performance and McQueen's direction make this a powerfully affecting drama examining the nature of sex addiction, without sensationalising the disturbing subject matter. In the middle of all the the sleazy topics covered, the sibling relationship is portrayed powerfully.
Not a fun film to watch, but this is what movie making is all about, leaving a mark on your soul and making you think of it long after the running time is over.
