Review of Shame (2011) by Peter A — 14 Jan 2013
The story of sex addiction from the point of view of a 30 year old man working in New York where connecting with people emotionally is secondary to fleeting sexual encounters. Michael Fassbender gives another great performance as Brandon, a man addicted to sex and pornography.
Its not as much fun as it sounds as he discovers when his sister arrives and disrupts his life. he is forced to think about relationships more deeply as a result. Carey Mulligan is also very good as Sissy, the sister and the film is well directed from the team that brought us Hunger.
Not one to watch with the kids though!
