Although it had the potential to be better and the character's problems should have been dealt with more, Shame is also a powerful and hard-to-watch experience with very strong performances from Fassbender and Mulligan and it is a truly fantastic and uncompromising character study of a man who has a huge problem which is difficult to watch, but worth watching nonetheless.
Shame is a shameful Oscar snub.
