Sometimes our past comes back to hold up a mirror and show us why we may have the issues we have.
As Carey Mulligan's character says to her brother in Shame " we are not bad people...we just sometimes come from bad places ".
Fassbender and Mulligan brilliantly play brother and sister, who's inability to shake their shared past has forever destroyed their ability to have any meaningful relationships.
A film that is sometimes hard to watch but not easy to forget...
