One of the most powerful performances by any actor since Last Tango in Paris and Raging Bull. Fassbender's performance mirrors that of Marlon Brando at his best. He is full of authority, yet convoys such vulnerability through his more quiet moments.
Steve McQueen's direction is outstanding, and the cinematography is beautiful. One of the best drama's of the decade.
