Review of Shame (2011) by Kilo D — 24 Oct 2013
A chore to sit through, Steve McQueen's second feature film is yet another detached and beautifully shot movie that does, indeed, boast "stellar performances" yet I never figured out why I was watching this man and his day-to-day life, for his "addiction" is laughable, thus the story that unfolds also boasts inane dialogue and contrived moral sequences that are predictable and really tempt the viewer to hit Stop.
Sean Bobbit, though, incredible stuff . . .
