Review of Shallow Hal (2001) by Becca W — 18 Jul 2010
I have kind of a love hate relationship with this movie. I liked that it's heart was in the right place, and it was funny enough. (I think Jack Black is always hi-larious). However, I didn't like the point was to make Hal less "shallow", but went about it by showing him falling in love with a woman whom he saw as being society's ideal of beauty, instead of seeing her for what she actually looked like, and still thinking she was beautiful.
Kind of counter productive.
