Review of Shallow Ground (2005) by Phil H — 26 Mar 2006
This movie gets a high rating merely because it's not often a horror film keeps me intrigued for most of the film. Clearly smaller studios produce better fare sometimes. First don't watch if you don't like to see blood.
Blood plays a big part in this film and not just from killing. So you see it pretty much the whole film in varying degrees and amounts. Also a fair amount of nudity and not always the kind you'd want to see.
By the end you can figure who the "bad guy" is and the reasoning. We've seen it before. A bit of a letdown. But the story before that and how it's told is what make the film enjoyable.
It's an interesting take.
